Great Lakes Cheese has grown rapidly by acquisition, plant expansions, investment in the best technologies for production and distribution – and by setting high industry standards for service. Great Lakes Cheese has expanded to a eight plant operation, spanning five states, and supplying cheese coast to coast.

Our commitment to customer service has driven our expansion. As delivery needs grew, Great Lakes Cheese strategically placed plants to ensure our cheeses arrived fresh and on time. Constant improvement at all levels of our operation is our service commitment to our customers.

Today, Great Lakes Cheese has over 2 million square feet of production space and over 100 production lines.


Supply Chain

We are in the cheese business, and exclusively in the cheese business. As the industry leader, we continue to invest in new technology and supply chain efficiencies. Our supplier relationships and purchasing policies ensure our customers a continuous source of supply. This is our promise to each of our customers.

Our national footprint helps minimize lead times and lower costs to customers. Great Lakes partners with an assortment of third party carriers to deliver product efficiently and on time. Our SAP ERP System provides real time visibility of data transactions and supports our 99% service levels.
